European Club Presidents February Meeting

Skal Europe and the European clubs want to present great activities for cooperation and making new potential members interested to join Skal.
The Young Skal Professionals is a new membership category for employees in our enterprises whom we want to foster for their next steps on the career ladder. Tito Livio Mongelli, Georgeta Grecu, Zhang Zhang from Monaco, and young professionals are working on the concept and it will be presented at the meeting.
The Skal Academy is a great project created by Skal Italy. We invite you to investigate the actual draft programme and to distribute it to interested young people. The idea of the programme is not only to open it for Skal members only but especially for young people who are going to start a professional career. They should see the benefits of working in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Sustainability is a challenge for the industry and not just because of strict regulations. There are very motivated projects going on and great solutions already realised. European enterprises shall have the opportunity to show their competence to the public and create an even better awareness of the many different aspects of this relevant and challenging field. We had a successful European Sustainability Award already in 2021 and are looking forward to honouring new award winners in the next European General Assembly.
European Golf Challenges program: Golf is a strong point in traditional Skal activities and it attracts many members to participate, mostly with spouses. The calendar now comprises the Skal Rome Golf Challenge and the Alpine Skal Golf Challenge. Whatever golf event organized by a Skal Club within Europe qualifies to participate. Clubs with golf activities can have their programs published and promoted, if open to other members.
Finally, we want to invite the European clubs to tender for the next European General Assembly which should be in October/early November 2023. It gives the clubs and the cities a great opportunity to present themselves and is a perfect platform for creating business among friends too.
To discuss these points and topics the clubs want to bring to our awareness we invite all European Club Presidents and/or Representatives to a virtual meeting.
