Extraordinary General Assembly of Skål International

SKÅL INTERNATIONALEXTRAORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLYCONVOCATION
In accordance with the Skål International Statutes and at the request of the Skål International Executive Committee, you are cordially invited to attend the Extraordinary General Assembly of Skål International to be held virtually on 9 July 2022:

AGENDA

  1. Opening of the Extraordinary General Assembly by the President
  2. Discussion of the proposed new governance plan for Skål International.
  3. Proposed Statutes changes.
  4. Closing of the Extraordinary General Assembly by the President.
QUORUM
In accordance with Article VII of the Skål International Statutes, the Assembly will be valid if one-third, plus one, of the total number of member clubs of Skål International, is represented.
VOTING SYSTEM
The proposed changes to the Statutes presented in advance and at the Extraordinary General Assembly will be voted after the Extraordinary General Assembly closing via Election Buddy.
The ballots will be sent out right after the meeting and delegates will have 36 hours to vote. Approval of the amendments will require a positive vote of two-thirds of the votes cast plus one.
DELEGATE REPORTING
Skål International clubs’ Presidents will be contacted in a few days to report their voting delegate by 24 June 2022.
Skål International clubs with more than 65 Active, Life and Retired members are entitled to two votes and will have to appoint two delegates.
Voting delegates should preferably be the Skål International club President and/or Secretary, but if it is not possible, the President will confirm the name of the appointed delegate(s).
ELIGIBILITY TO VOTE
Skål International clubs which have not paid their annual membership fees, or which have less than 10 Active, Life and Retired members will not be eligible to vote.
