Finally, we will also deliver the Skal Europe Special Awards.

Skal Europe Special Awards 2025 are a unique recognition dedicated to the people who shape the future of our organisation from within. These awards celebrate individual Skal Members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, leadership, and creativity in strengthening Skal’s presence and values in their local communities—and across borders.

Unlike the Sustainability Awards, which focus on innovative tourism projects, the Special Awards highlight the people behind Skal’s revival, expansion, and dynamism. These are the individuals who go above and beyond to make Skal thrive.

Each club or national committee is encouraged to nominate a candidate who:

    • Has revitalised a struggling or dormant club, restoring energy and purpose.
    • Has attracted new members, especially from underrepresented sectors or younger generations.
    • Has led a remarkable initiative—whether in networking, education, events, or digital innovation.
    • Established partnerships with institutions, universities, or private stakeholders to elevate Skal’s profile.
    • Has shown exceptional dedication as a volunteer, investing time, passion, and strategic thinking into Skal activities.
    • Has become a bridge-builder, encouraging collaboration between clubs or across countries.

We want to highlight those members who embody the spirit of Skal through action—not titles. This award is a celebration of commitment, not status.
