Three Skalleagues at the first Tourism Forum of Melilla

Between the 3d and 5th November 2021 three Skalleagues, including Skal Europe Vice President Francisco Rivero, participated as speakers in the first Tourism Forum of Melilla.

The vice president of Skal Europa and president of Skal of Madrid, Francisco Rivero, the international counsellor of Skal Spain Gracia Pregrín and the past president of Skal of Granada, Rafael Piñar, and president in Andalucía of the Spanish Association of Hotel managers, have participated in the first Tourism Forum of Melilla organized by the University of Granada on its campus in this Spanish city of North Africa.

The Skalleague Gracia Peregrín, past president of Skal Spain, and professor at the University of Granada was part of the organizing committee of the Melilla Tourism Forum and in the round table in which the two Skalleagues intervened was entitled Future business models, digitalization, and safe tourism.

Francisco Rivero spoke in-depth about “Tourism and digitalization“, which together with sustainability are major topics for the future of tourism. Rafael Piñar Vargas presented the issue of safe tourism, which was approved at the proposal of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, with the idea of making the Spanish tourism system more competitive and sustainable.

Francisco Javier Melero, CEO of Aumentur, spoke of the digitized tourist guides for the mobile phone and Marian Ruiz Domínguez, commercial director of Roibos, a company that streamlines and accelerates distribution with single connectivity to technical operators and travel agencies.
