Candidate for the position of President

As candidate for President of Skål Europe for the 2025–2027 term, I am standing on a vision of continuity and intelligent growth. Over the past years, Skål Europe has become the most dynamic regional committee in our organisation, strengthening its visibility, communication, and cohesion. In my role as Vice President, I have worked closely with the Board and with many committed Skålleagues to build this momentum. My candidacy is therefore not a break, but a commitment to deepen and stabilise what we have already started together.
My first priority is to ensure that Skål Europe continues to deliver concrete value to its members and Clubs. This means stronger support for professional networking, more opportunities for collaboration, and better tools for communication at European level. I intend to consolidate our editorial work and digital infrastructure so that every Club, from the largest national committee to the smallest local group, can share its initiatives and successes with the wider European community. Skål Europe must remain useful, visible, and close to the real needs of tourism professionals.
At the same time, I want to reinforce those initiatives that already define Skål Europe’s identity: our Awards and our Academy. The Sustainability, Special, and Tourism Technology Awards showcase the best of European tourism innovation and personal leadership, while the Skål Europe Academy has become a practical platform for learning and exchange on ESG, sustainable tourism, circular economy, AI, gender equality and European programmes. As President, I will work to increase their visibility, transparency and impact, and to involve more Clubs as active partners and hosts of these initiatives.
Finally, my programme is rooted in clear governance, inclusive cooperation and a strong commitment to ESG principles. I believe Skål Europe must act as a facilitator of dialogue between Clubs and National Committees, ensuring regular coordination, transparent reporting, and support for inter-club projects. At the same time, we must position Skål as a credible European voice in sustainable tourism, aligned with environmental, social and governance standards. My goal is simple: to lead a European community that is professional, responsible, and proud to contribute to a more innovative and sustainable tourism industry for our continent.
